Games and Sports

The college has a well developed playground behind the main building. Sports events are organised from time to time under the supervision of sports specialists. Sports teams of the college have represented it in various sporting events held at university and state levels.Year 2004 has brought the new era in the field of sports in our college. The sports committee was constructed in the very begining of session. Under this committee the seeds were sown for the upliftment of the sports standards at University.

National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.)

NCC work goes on under our eligible and hard working officers. There is separate room provided by the College. The school and college opened after summer vacation and the NCC of independent India was inaugurated on 15 July 1948 The journey of this Indian youth organization, which has now become the largest uniformed youth organization in the world has begun. The NCC which has now13 lakh cadet on its roll has started with 20,000 cadet in 1948.National Service Scheme working for poor and rural Indian People through the volunteer programmes conducted by the officers help.

National Service Scheme ( NSS )

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage

Library and Reading Room

The college library is the repository of knowledge in the form of books and journals. It is located in a separate block, well displayed on the shelves. The library having books ranging from Philosophy to Physics caters to the needs of students and academic staff alike. The library emphasizes on enriching the teaching and learning processes by providing the valuable study material to the both stakeholdersKeeping in the mind of the recent developments in information technology, the college management is trying its best to improve the existing facilities available in the library.

Facilities given to Students

In the institution, near about 80% Students belong to the SC, OBC and minority categories so in admissions, reservation policy applies as rule. Instead of financial assistance from state and central government, P.S.F. is also given at the college level to the needy students. Time to time, some National level Seminars have been organized in the institution in which students of the college get opportunity to participate. Students also get opportunity to expose their creativity by publishing their articles and poems in the annual magazine of the college named ‘Sangam’.

The college has sufficient number of classrooms with proper lighting and ventilators. Other physical facilities available in the campus are a central library with a reading room, digital language lab, UPRTOU Study Centre, IGNOU Study Centre, a big Badminton Hall, girls common-room etc. Safe drinking water facility and a continuous supply of electricity through generators is also available for the students in campus.

Various departments in the college, time to time organize workshops, seminars, presentations, quiz, essay- competitions, discussions, debates, poster, rangoli and slogan competitions. Some other extracurricular activities like dances, songs, play, public speaking, inter-collegiate games and girls and boys championships also increase the confidence as well improve the personality of the students. The institution has also started the facility of smart classes for its students. A carrier Counseling Cell is also there to support and guide the students. Extra assistance is provided to solve the doubts of slow-learners. Personality development programmes are also organized time to time. Student Grievance Redressal Committee works to redress the grievances related to academic matters of the students. There is also a provision of having student representatives nearly in each and every committee of the institution. Institution tries to encourage the shining students of different classes by giving various memorials awards to the meritorious students on its foundation day.
